Memulai Kembali

Akupun diberondong pertanyaan lazim orang indonesia setelah lama tak bertemu :
"Udah nikah ya?"
"Kerja dimana?"

Hahahahhahaha
"Sambil jahit, jadi dosen aja nak, enak...kalau sibuk menjahit liburkan saja kelasnya!," guraunya.
Duh, si papa...andai saja profesi dosen seperti yang papa bayangkan, entah berapa orang yang sedang bersikut-sikutan menjadi dosen. Tapi kuyakin itulah alasan terbesarnya menyekolahkanku sampai jenjang master. *tears* *melow mode on*

Seperti halnya orang tuaku, pasanganku, bantat (begitulah panggilan kesayangan kami, hihihii sama2 bantat) adalah pendukung no. 1-ku.

one of my loyal customer hihihihi semuanya mau dibungkus
dengan jahitanku kalau bisa

Incaran top model yang bakal membintangi
commercial videoku nanti

bubu langsung bergabung ketika kain
siap potong sudah dibentangkan

penggaris adalah objek kedua yang diincarnya

kalau sudah puas mendapatkan penggaris terkadang
dia sampai tertidur di atas bentangan kain
sambil memegang hasil buruannya
(penggaris)

tapi tugas sebenarnya adalah menghiburku disaat
ide lagi mampet hihihihi

Sewing Attack

This idea is born in the middle of class, when my sensei sharing his experience story about a couple who buy the island, and the wife teach local people japanese quilt. I was so impressed about that craft and start imaging what I want to be....

My first laptop case on progress

I realize that I was so obsessed with that, because in the end of the class my note is not about the subject, but my sewing-product-wanna be. Too excited, waiting the day I can make it come true made me want to skip my sleep and go to another day and find out what can I do for my sewing project. Yes, I had insomnia, I really need to do something.... So I started to make my dream come true by attending the craft gallery : little clover that already took many my attention because the product she make is soo me, I adore every craft she made, that lately I know that it's not her alone make it. She is Nagahara san, with my limited japanese mixed with English I tell her how much I want to learn sewing, I ask her to teach me sewing.

Little Clover Galerry
I love japanese fabric pattern

Adorable favorite things

Nagahara san teach me patiently
I suddenly became the attention in this local market because my English, until old lady who pass by help me translate my english to japanese, hihihihihi finally she agree with that and set the date when I start sewing..aaaaaakk! she ask me what kind of product I want to make, I said for the first time just teach me simple pouch. Then she ask me to choose the fabric and the detailed one. They really appreciate my choose, Onion Head Emoticons 34by saying what a good choice, kawaii, hahahaha that boost my will to learn sew. Can't wait for next week. The next week at saturday the rain is coming very hard. That's not problem with me, I go using bicycle and umbrella under the rain. the result I was late for 30 minutes. Nagahara san surprised see my cloth is wet by rain and got panic, take some towel to dry my self. hhihiihiii...while I can't wait to start the sewing lesson hahahaa ever than any subject in campus. She prepare everything and teach me very well. While I actually I learn two things : sewing and japanese. My first pouch is done in less one hour. I'm so nervous using sewing machinne for the first time...but the one that I use is a good one so it seem easy to use. I also ahppy with the result.
We giving applause each other when it's done, hahahaaa...otsukaresamadeshita Princess Yvonne Emoticons 131 so I make another plan again for next month to make laptop case and camera bag. Actually I just want to make camera bag, and Nagahara san it takes two days to make it. So at the end at first day I said I also want to have laptop case with the same fabric. So she kindly said yes and set everything quickly. Second day was a busy day for me because I finished my camera bag and straight do the laptop case. ahahahhaaa....I almost want to skip japanese class that day to continue sewing, but Nagahara san said that I have to attend class and worry that I have to have lunch that day...ah yaa..I even forget lunch! so she said I can come back again after class and finish my laptop case. So after have a class I come back again, she introduce me with her daughter, they are very nice..but when I ask her daughter whether she likes to sew or not she shake her head...hihihhii too bad..Nagahara san even didn't forget to ask me whether I late for the class or have I lunch or not, hihihihi ...and finally my laptop case is done! yatttaaa! just like what I want! arigatouuu~

Looking forward for the next project!

Wakayama Trip

We had a fieldtrip to Wakayama prefecture in mission to help farmers harvesting ume. it’s peak season to harvest ume. My lecturer say, we going have a hard work like farmers do, in fact…ehehehehe it was fun experience to PLAY at ume farmland. kkk kkkk

Umeboshi inside onigiri, the tast is sour and salty
Wait, do you know ume? some say plum…some say it’s close to japanese apricot. The tree come from china becuse its beautiful flower, lately in 1200’s they harvest fruits. if it’s raw the fruit can be toxic and if it’s over rip, the taste is so so (for me). So, usualy ume is processed before eat, the famous two processed ume is being umeboshi and umesyu. umesyu is liquor, from the fermented ume . while umeboshi is dried pickle that used in the onigiri. the taste? ummm…me likey, it’s salty and sour, that’s why they don’t use it too much in onigiri. Nakamura sensei said, umeboshi also contain many bacteria that help our digestion, its sour taste being natural preservative. Wakayama is famous of its ume and mikan (local orange). They provide almost 58% of national’s ume demand. While only 29% in Wakayama cultivated with Ume. that makes big profit for the farmers, that’s why 90% of 1100 farmers in wakayama is full time farmer. Not only having land and harvesting the ume, the farmers usually have home industry to make their own umeboshi. Like the farmer that we going to help harvesting, they are husband and wife who manage the 3 ha farmland for many years.

Kampaaaaiii!!
well…that’s a little about ume based on my note on lecturea day before we harvest the ume. At least I have to write longer for this week report, bhehehehe…sooo what’s FUN? from the start at 9 am we off to Wakayama from campus, having lunch in farmer’s market. Mizuno sensei said that we going to cook our own dinner in the villa, so we buy some materials for our dinner. We plan to cook indonesian chicken soup and perkedel for dinner and nasi goreng for breakfast. The interesting one about farmer’s market is the farmer do their own packaging and decide the price of their goods. that’s why the price every vegetable even the same vegetable is not same. they also put labels who harvest it, when they harvest it, or….what recipe you going to do with this vegetable, etc.it take 15 minutes to the villa where we going to stay. The villa is gergous marvelous, awesome…hah! what to say, exactly everyone’s dream house. all made by wood in the middle of ume farmland. The owner is Mr Niizuma who welcome us very humble and warm. my lecturer say that he is famous tv director. looks he so happy watching us cook in his kitchen.

Proudly present : Sop ayam, nasi goreng and perkedel hihihi
afer arrive in villa, we having a class like I told before, then prepare our dinner. Actually most of indonesian student have responsibility to cook dinner, but japanese students more helpfull than us, >,< gomeenn… we cook chicken soup that lately more suitable to call it, “carrot soup" hahahah because the ammount of the carrot is more than chicken itself. While japanese student cook fried chicken and salad. our sensei cook some vegetable too…thanks God they like our soup *all hail to royco : we call it magic seasoning, buahahhaa* we chit chatting eat cake until 11 pm. Time to sleep.

But we realize the next morning we have to get up earlier, making nasi goreng in hurry such bad idea. So we decided to make nasi goreng before sleep. we finally go to bed at 12 am. I wake up at 3.30 morning. becase we have to have breakfast at 5 am. it’s easy because we already cook nasi goreng before, just put the rolled egg to microwave, taraaa…we done. but sensei cook us miso soup, and japanese student also make onigiri with umeboshi. But most of us eat nasi goreng instead, yatttaaa..never though that our nasi goreng is famous.

Enjoying the break time, oh I love japanese cake and refreshing drinks
at 5.30 we leave the villa and go to the farmland. we already welcomed and straight divided into several group to get up the pick up car. We harvest fruit that already fall and from the tree until 10 am. having break, chit chatting with the farmers, go back to their basecamp, see how they process ume and packaging. Eat biwa fruit….then go home at 12.00 am sayonaraaa…not that hard, because we playing not working there hahahaha…the hardest part is harvesting in slope area, I almost fall in many time..kkk kkkk

then we having lunch and playing in the beach. the interesting one is the time table of our field trip is punctual, we depart to our campus at 18.30.

Come at The Right Time

Celebrating, 3rd month I've been in the country of sakura, away from home, celebrate my birthday without family, will having fasting month on summer, will having idul fitri in the middle of fieldtrip.. let's make a note!

First photo and last sakura when I arrived in misasagi
Actually it will be extra long story if I tell you how I can stay in Kyoto, Japan now. But I guess all happen to me at the right time. Since my last minute decision quit from my job as journalist and being full time student. I didn’t know that my decision is bring me to this beautiful city. I’m a full student in wrong semester actually, all the compulsory class I already had in the last two semester. So I just take extra class to fulfill the credits, eheheh I enjoy it and sometimes miss my friends who not take the same class with me.

In the middle of my third semester, there’s announcement to apply student exchange for 6 months in Kyoto. The requirements makes me desperate, some documents not well prepared, I don’t even have clear proposal for my research, while the deadline is exactly tomorrow. In the short story, I finally choosen to be exchange student in Kyoto university with 3 others indonesian students and 2 vietnam students. Thank you for tubby who always support me from preparing all the document, make visa, and accompany me to the airport and go home with my parents, ihihihiii…

All by my self~ *singing*
Actually my way too Japan is not as easy as seen, while waiting the decision, you know how mess feeling I had, still attend the class and do some assignment for 3rd semester class. Feels like you do uncertain life while others know I'm going to go here. Yes, the announcement is postponed, makes my heart breath slowly. Then the final result is come, I have to make visa as soon as possible, so I go to Japan embassy, and got misunderstanding for applying visa. They ask me to apply temporary visit visa then modify the visa when I arrived in japan to student visa. but Japan embassy in Indonesia won't do that, they keeep ask EL for applying student visa. It's totally confusing 3 times to embassy without bright result about visa and I almost give up. At the last finally the make my EL sooner to make student visa in Indonesia. hahahaha it's literally hard to get, I chase fedEx man to make it fast. Also some documents that need to be sent takes time, I remember that I and Tubby waiting from morning to afternoon then running fast to the car, got crazy on highway just to make sure I can send the document on time, fyuuuhhh...

So at april 4 2013 19.35 I depature from Soeta airport Indonesia and landed at Kansai airport japan at april 5 2013 05.30 do some imigration things and took MK taxi to misasagi international house. Arrived at about 10.00. welcomed with pretty sakura, thanks God I still can enjoy it, they said that day is the last day we can see sakura, because the next day will be typhoon who blew away the petals. then it’s trully happen, I even didn’t had picture of sakura with my DSLR camera :’(( too bad.

My pretty comfortable small room, away from everything
Why? because at 10.00 o clock when i just arrived at misasagi international house, they even don’t give me time to breath. helloo I just had more than 8 hours flight, 2 hours in imigration line, 1 hour in taxi to get here…they already give me short orientation about this place. I just can put my big lugage, thinking how small the room is…then Masuda san took me to campus. At campus, he tell me many building and what its function, how to get here, meets the people, introducing me, took a lunch, do some administrative thing, that I can’t remember well…yes, I can easily get lost in campus (-___-").
It’s not yet end, I should go home alone from campus to misasagi, whaaat? I…even don’t know how to use bus or more even subway. Masuda san patiently draw and print many maps to get home and tell me what to do. But still I get lost when I get home. huhuhuhu…In subway, I stand for a long time to see people buy ticket, how they should do, what to do next, until I got it I do it…I can’t speak japanese or read hiragana katakana. No way I can’t ask…finally I got home in 1 hour, hahahaha normally only 30 minutes. When I arrived, I feel so tired until I didn’t have my dinner….and cry hhahahaa I don’t know why am I crying. At the same time my mom was crying too, because she wait for my arrival news too long and frustated until she off from her work...hahahaha gomenasaii~ I'm too busy since the first minute come to misasagi, plus it's very hard to access campus's wi fi here..

Funtrip

Okay where to start...this fieldtrip is already scheduled in early semester. there are many destination we want to visit related to our study about landscape architecture. With many considering we choose Bali as our destination in order to learn its culture, design and city's plan according to their culture. well well...I'm not going to tell you about the context. I'm the shalow one at reporting, not like the others. I started to think change my blog description immediately. Okay back to main topic (my bad can't stand into one track) It's just because my friend find cheap flight fare by online to Bali. Ahh.. I hate to say, but I never been to Bali before seriously. So I'm not too excited because that's not one of my favorite place with beach and hundreds of monke. Nevermind  I excited to have a trip with my friends...yeaaaayyy time to take vacation

Oh ya, I will go to Bali at 21-24 of January (monday-thursday)  so I take leave from my office for 3 days, thanks God it's after deadline date. I never thought that was last deadline I made, I make it just in time, try to fix my bad....a little bit away from my graduates school friends. But in the middle of my try to fix those problem at office, I have to take decision to quit. I send it via email, but no replies...I need to leave at sunday. Still no edited article, I went to Bandung, with sapu to tya's hotel. Both of them is friend of mine at graduate school. We actually go to bali from bandung. We have some plan to enjoy bandung before leaving to Bali.

Left and Right Emoticons 7jeng..jeng...jeeengg! the trip is started

From the very start I and sapu planned to go to Bandung by travel. Just meet sapu at cibubur mc d we get it wrong. While I'm with dad and sapu with her dad too, two different cars we didn't recognize at parking lot. Calling each other to find where we are pfffttt..finally we meet each other. Another misunderstanding happen : which car we use to go to travel, my car or sapu's car follow mine. hahahahahaa...I made it clear by asking her to take my car, fyuuh.

We get to bandung faster than I ever thought. While tya waiting our depature at hotel, sapu sleep along the journey and my phone signal is bad. The BBM sent right after at highway gate. It needs about 40 minutes from tya's hotel to pasteur. ahahahaha...all hail to tya, she find us. So we went straight to PVJ, I want to eat kamikaze there. Fyi, we don't know exactly about bandung's road. We just lay on maps on my tab. We got to PVJ without get lost.  Unfortunatelly, kamikaze closed their resto already, so we eat at richeese factory. After eat... when girls meet...unstopable shopping happen (bold+underline to sapu, ikikikikikkk) I amazed how can she buy thing for every shop we come in. Silly thing happen when sapu excited (again) to enter the shop that we already come and BUY a thing there. Ckckckckc. actually I and tya make a joke as if that was interesting place to come, but sapu give a responds seriously Left and Right Emoticons 45uhuhhahahahaa

I bet sapu and tya already spends so much just at bandung. All of us realize that we not arrive at bali yet but we already buy many thing. kkkk...done with many bags in hand, we're not done yet today. oyeaahhh....next is sapu's curriousity about hummingbird cafe at bandung, a aa.. all of us don't know where it is and how to get there, which way to take, etc. You know bandung's street is very mean, once you get lost there's no way back. hmmphh!

Based on the address on the website and maps on tab we go to bandung about 7,30 pm to have dinner there.. syalalaaa everything under control when the maps tell us to go to satay building (landmark of bandung). Tya's drive, she know how to get there. The problem begin when we can't find the street where the hummingbird located. why we meet satay building over and over again after having difficult way. So this is how happen:

Tya,  the driver who can't step the brake, and her foot stick to the gas.
Me, the co-driver that not help too much, the most responsive co-driver
Sapu, at back seat, as navigator who tell which way to go (umm actually that's my job but I can't handdle it very well)

Tya: "Tell me now! which way to go left?! right!? quickly! I already on the fork!" (imagine she said it on fire)
Sapu: "ummm...ummm..wait...according to this map...."
Tya: "I want the answer now! look at the map!"
Sapu: "ummmm..yes...but it supposed to be..."
Tya: "can't you see where we are and the destination is?!" *started to boil*
Me: "Left"

Then we go to the left and find it wrong...pfffttt
Tya: "why you said left...%$&&^%#@*&^%$!!" *step the gas brutally*Left and Right Emoticons 48
Me: "to know that is wrong, so back again and we went to right..." *calm*
Sapu: "I want to tell you went to right but...." *feeling guilty*

Can you imagine how the situation inside the car, extremely noisy by 3 girls who blame the maps that's not update. We find it hard to read it, muehehehehe...so after that we use local maps by asking people around :

Me: "excuse me do you know where progo st. is?"
Man: "just straight to this way, go to left another fork take it to right, when you find mosque, just behind that. to get there...etc...etc...bla..blaa..."
Me: "okaaay get it...Thank youu" *smile with understanding-well-face then close the window*
*ask to tya* : "you copy it right tya? I don't remember what he said"
Tya: "......."
Sapu: "zzzzzzz..."

Okay....let's ask another man here, asked to old man there *syalalaaa*

Me: "excuse me, do you know where hummingbird cafe?"
Man: "what is that?"
Tya: "Looo... why you ask like that, there's one in million he would know...grrr"
Me: "I just try our luck, ehehehehe"
Sapu: "Guys, I guess I read the maps up side down, we away from destination" *still talking about maps*

ahahahahaa... I can't stop laughing write this part. So, after round and round satay building for many time ( Tya called it tawaf kkkk) we finally find hummingbird cafe! oyeaaaaa..it's 9.30 pm and thanks God it's not closed yet. We are too excited finding hummingbird cafe, gosh finally.... we went back to hotel, and have a nice sleep. The next morning we have breakfast at mall under the hotel before....take picture at photobox *what a random morning*
Another disaster journey at Bandung happen again like before. Ever worse than before, it's long-long way journey and why do we still trust that maps, ikikikikii...unfortunately we can't find our destination because we have to go to bali this afternoon. *fly to balii* we arrived to Bali's hotel at 11.30 PM

lap keringet, pegel yes... subtittle : OFF

Okay, nothing special 3 day at bali. We use travel to everywhere with limited time. I just go to beach once, the rest is taking photo...and taking photoo.. (Photo courtesy: sapu)

#Day One

First destination : Art center at North Denpasar

Well-welcomed at BDTC (Bali Develoment Tourism Center) listening to the presentation of nusa dua's design. Get many understanding of Bali's culture in palnning design.

3rd destination BDTC lagoon. This is the water management of Nusa Dua and becoming the habitat of wild animal (bird). Plus this place have a superb scene to take photo.

Went to dreamland beach, through Graha Wishnu Kencana (GWK). Watching kecak dance. My favorite place is lotus. Feels like de javu here.

#Day Two

After looking, interview, taking Bali traditional house (for fieldtrip report) eheheee.. we went to ubud, the palace, the market, interesting for me. I fell in love with the paint on this picture.

The rest destinationis some temple which the woman who have period can't come in. Unfortunately I'm the one who can't enter the temple (tampaksiring and goalawah) just wait...and wait...

Overall, we have a good meal..until bli Wayan take us into Bali tradisional food fish satay. Oh yes taste unfamiliar for me. Just to know that was bali's food style

#Day Three
Time to go homeeee...arrived at 13.00 at Bandung

Having lunch at Bandung, then go home...what a fun trip with graduate school friends

The next day....

Note Of Thanks

As I have more time, I think I’ll be back again! ;) saying hello to tumblr word. I’ve changed my tumblr tittle into Note Of Thanks I don’t know that words easily attached on my mind after all I have been through. After many things happen on this early year, the good one through the bad one I learned how to deal with: simply being thankful. Being thankful is easiest way for being comfort in any situation, for me. So I’d rather said it’s to late, but better than never. It was my resolution actually on this year, eheheheh. So I will end my day being gratitude and share it on tumblr. Come visit!

XOXO,
.
