Where I have been?

fyuuuhh... done with three posting today, 2 of them I just copy-paste from my tumblr. I don't know but looks like I put too high criteria posting to this blog then sometimes makes me postpone some story because i was too perfect. I rather post it into other social media like path, instagram, twitter or tumblr! haaaa..lately I make over my tumblr page, like this :

I'm pretty happy with the result, then I begin post short story again...so if you feel a little bored with my long-long writing on this blog maybe you can come visit my tumblr who had more light stories with many photo. That's good for your eyes huh, I also admit that my post is too long here. I also change my sidebar on this blog, can you see at the right side on this blog with "where-I-have-been" tittle? hihihhi I can say that I slowly moved my daily blog to here. Haaaahh....how many time I change my purpose of tumblr, the last one is about giving thanks not for my daily life...then I easily forget...so I will not promise to my self again what I'm going to do with this tumblr page, let it (f)love..post anytime I love anytime I like.

Sewing Attack

This idea is born in the middle of class, when my sensei sharing his experience story about a couple who buy the island, and the wife teach local people japanese quilt. I was so impressed about that craft and start imaging what I want to be....

My first laptop case on progress

I realize that I was so obsessed with that, because in the end of the class my note is not about the subject, but my sewing-product-wanna be. Too excited, waiting the day I can make it come true made me want to skip my sleep and go to another day and find out what can I do for my sewing project. Yes, I had insomnia, I really need to do something.... So I started to make my dream come true by attending the craft gallery : little clover that already took many my attention because the product she make is soo me, I adore every craft she made, that lately I know that it's not her alone make it. She is Nagahara san, with my limited japanese mixed with English I tell her how much I want to learn sewing, I ask her to teach me sewing.

Little Clover Galerry
I love japanese fabric pattern

Adorable favorite things

Nagahara san teach me patiently
I suddenly became the attention in this local market because my English, until old lady who pass by help me translate my english to japanese, hihihihihi finally she agree with that and set the date when I start sewing..aaaaaakk! she ask me what kind of product I want to make, I said for the first time just teach me simple pouch. Then she ask me to choose the fabric and the detailed one. They really appreciate my choose, Onion Head Emoticons 34by saying what a good choice, kawaii, hahahaha that boost my will to learn sew. Can't wait for next week. The next week at saturday the rain is coming very hard. That's not problem with me, I go using bicycle and umbrella under the rain. the result I was late for 30 minutes. Nagahara san surprised see my cloth is wet by rain and got panic, take some towel to dry my self. hhihiihiii...while I can't wait to start the sewing lesson hahahaa ever than any subject in campus. She prepare everything and teach me very well. While I actually I learn two things : sewing and japanese. My first pouch is done in less one hour. I'm so nervous using sewing machinne for the first time...but the one that I use is a good one so it seem easy to use. I also ahppy with the result.
We giving applause each other when it's done, hahahaaa...otsukaresamadeshita Princess Yvonne Emoticons 131 so I make another plan again for next month to make laptop case and camera bag. Actually I just want to make camera bag, and Nagahara san it takes two days to make it. So at the end at first day I said I also want to have laptop case with the same fabric. So she kindly said yes and set everything quickly. Second day was a busy day for me because I finished my camera bag and straight do the laptop case. ahahahhaaa....I almost want to skip japanese class that day to continue sewing, but Nagahara san said that I have to attend class and worry that I have to have lunch that day...ah yaa..I even forget lunch! so she said I can come back again after class and finish my laptop case. So after have a class I come back again, she introduce me with her daughter, they are very nice..but when I ask her daughter whether she likes to sew or not she shake her head...hihihhii too bad..Nagahara san even didn't forget to ask me whether I late for the class or have I lunch or not, hihihihi ...and finally my laptop case is done! yatttaaa! just like what I want! arigatouuu~

Looking forward for the next project!

Wakayama Trip

We had a fieldtrip to Wakayama prefecture in mission to help farmers harvesting ume. it’s peak season to harvest ume. My lecturer say, we going have a hard work like farmers do, in fact…ehehehehe it was fun experience to PLAY at ume farmland. kkk kkkk

Umeboshi inside onigiri, the tast is sour and salty
Wait, do you know ume? some say plum…some say it’s close to japanese apricot. The tree come from china becuse its beautiful flower, lately in 1200’s they harvest fruits. if it’s raw the fruit can be toxic and if it’s over rip, the taste is so so (for me). So, usualy ume is processed before eat, the famous two processed ume is being umeboshi and umesyu. umesyu is liquor, from the fermented ume . while umeboshi is dried pickle that used in the onigiri. the taste? ummm…me likey, it’s salty and sour, that’s why they don’t use it too much in onigiri. Nakamura sensei said, umeboshi also contain many bacteria that help our digestion, its sour taste being natural preservative. Wakayama is famous of its ume and mikan (local orange). They provide almost 58% of national’s ume demand. While only 29% in Wakayama cultivated with Ume. that makes big profit for the farmers, that’s why 90% of 1100 farmers in wakayama is full time farmer. Not only having land and harvesting the ume, the farmers usually have home industry to make their own umeboshi. Like the farmer that we going to help harvesting, they are husband and wife who manage the 3 ha farmland for many years.

Kampaaaaiii!!
well…that’s a little about ume based on my note on lecturea day before we harvest the ume. At least I have to write longer for this week report, bhehehehe…sooo what’s FUN? from the start at 9 am we off to Wakayama from campus, having lunch in farmer’s market. Mizuno sensei said that we going to cook our own dinner in the villa, so we buy some materials for our dinner. We plan to cook indonesian chicken soup and perkedel for dinner and nasi goreng for breakfast. The interesting one about farmer’s market is the farmer do their own packaging and decide the price of their goods. that’s why the price every vegetable even the same vegetable is not same. they also put labels who harvest it, when they harvest it, or….what recipe you going to do with this vegetable, etc.it take 15 minutes to the villa where we going to stay. The villa is gergous marvelous, awesome…hah! what to say, exactly everyone’s dream house. all made by wood in the middle of ume farmland. The owner is Mr Niizuma who welcome us very humble and warm. my lecturer say that he is famous tv director. looks he so happy watching us cook in his kitchen.

Proudly present : Sop ayam, nasi goreng and perkedel hihihi
afer arrive in villa, we having a class like I told before, then prepare our dinner. Actually most of indonesian student have responsibility to cook dinner, but japanese students more helpfull than us, >,< gomeenn… we cook chicken soup that lately more suitable to call it, “carrot soup" hahahah because the ammount of the carrot is more than chicken itself. While japanese student cook fried chicken and salad. our sensei cook some vegetable too…thanks God they like our soup *all hail to royco : we call it magic seasoning, buahahhaa* we chit chatting eat cake until 11 pm. Time to sleep.

But we realize the next morning we have to get up earlier, making nasi goreng in hurry such bad idea. So we decided to make nasi goreng before sleep. we finally go to bed at 12 am. I wake up at 3.30 morning. becase we have to have breakfast at 5 am. it’s easy because we already cook nasi goreng before, just put the rolled egg to microwave, taraaa…we done. but sensei cook us miso soup, and japanese student also make onigiri with umeboshi. But most of us eat nasi goreng instead, yatttaaa..never though that our nasi goreng is famous.

Enjoying the break time, oh I love japanese cake and refreshing drinks
at 5.30 we leave the villa and go to the farmland. we already welcomed and straight divided into several group to get up the pick up car. We harvest fruit that already fall and from the tree until 10 am. having break, chit chatting with the farmers, go back to their basecamp, see how they process ume and packaging. Eat biwa fruit….then go home at 12.00 am sayonaraaa…not that hard, because we playing not working there hahahaha…the hardest part is harvesting in slope area, I almost fall in many time..kkk kkkk

then we having lunch and playing in the beach. the interesting one is the time table of our field trip is punctual, we depart to our campus at 18.30.

Come at The Right Time

Celebrating, 3rd month I've been in the country of sakura, away from home, celebrate my birthday without family, will having fasting month on summer, will having idul fitri in the middle of fieldtrip.. let's make a note!

First photo and last sakura when I arrived in misasagi
Actually it will be extra long story if I tell you how I can stay in Kyoto, Japan now. But I guess all happen to me at the right time. Since my last minute decision quit from my job as journalist and being full time student. I didn’t know that my decision is bring me to this beautiful city. I’m a full student in wrong semester actually, all the compulsory class I already had in the last two semester. So I just take extra class to fulfill the credits, eheheh I enjoy it and sometimes miss my friends who not take the same class with me.

In the middle of my third semester, there’s announcement to apply student exchange for 6 months in Kyoto. The requirements makes me desperate, some documents not well prepared, I don’t even have clear proposal for my research, while the deadline is exactly tomorrow. In the short story, I finally choosen to be exchange student in Kyoto university with 3 others indonesian students and 2 vietnam students. Thank you for tubby who always support me from preparing all the document, make visa, and accompany me to the airport and go home with my parents, ihihihiii…

All by my self~ *singing*
Actually my way too Japan is not as easy as seen, while waiting the decision, you know how mess feeling I had, still attend the class and do some assignment for 3rd semester class. Feels like you do uncertain life while others know I'm going to go here. Yes, the announcement is postponed, makes my heart breath slowly. Then the final result is come, I have to make visa as soon as possible, so I go to Japan embassy, and got misunderstanding for applying visa. They ask me to apply temporary visit visa then modify the visa when I arrived in japan to student visa. but Japan embassy in Indonesia won't do that, they keeep ask EL for applying student visa. It's totally confusing 3 times to embassy without bright result about visa and I almost give up. At the last finally the make my EL sooner to make student visa in Indonesia. hahahaha it's literally hard to get, I chase fedEx man to make it fast. Also some documents that need to be sent takes time, I remember that I and Tubby waiting from morning to afternoon then running fast to the car, got crazy on highway just to make sure I can send the document on time, fyuuuhhh...

So at april 4 2013 19.35 I depature from Soeta airport Indonesia and landed at Kansai airport japan at april 5 2013 05.30 do some imigration things and took MK taxi to misasagi international house. Arrived at about 10.00. welcomed with pretty sakura, thanks God I still can enjoy it, they said that day is the last day we can see sakura, because the next day will be typhoon who blew away the petals. then it’s trully happen, I even didn’t had picture of sakura with my DSLR camera :’(( too bad.

My pretty comfortable small room, away from everything
Why? because at 10.00 o clock when i just arrived at misasagi international house, they even don’t give me time to breath. helloo I just had more than 8 hours flight, 2 hours in imigration line, 1 hour in taxi to get here…they already give me short orientation about this place. I just can put my big lugage, thinking how small the room is…then Masuda san took me to campus. At campus, he tell me many building and what its function, how to get here, meets the people, introducing me, took a lunch, do some administrative thing, that I can’t remember well…yes, I can easily get lost in campus (-___-").
It’s not yet end, I should go home alone from campus to misasagi, whaaat? I…even don’t know how to use bus or more even subway. Masuda san patiently draw and print many maps to get home and tell me what to do. But still I get lost when I get home. huhuhuhu…In subway, I stand for a long time to see people buy ticket, how they should do, what to do next, until I got it I do it…I can’t speak japanese or read hiragana katakana. No way I can’t ask…finally I got home in 1 hour, hahahaha normally only 30 minutes. When I arrived, I feel so tired until I didn’t have my dinner….and cry hhahahaa I don’t know why am I crying. At the same time my mom was crying too, because she wait for my arrival news too long and frustated until she off from her work...hahahaha gomenasaii~ I'm too busy since the first minute come to misasagi, plus it's very hard to access campus's wi fi here..
